With the DrillSteady drill guide:
- You can drill a bent frame corner, stanchion or other tubing in place. There is no need to disassemble or remove tubing from your boat. This will save you time and money on cutting and welding (or repairing drilling mistakes)
- A 9/64″ (3.5mm) drill bit is held in place securely (use #8 screws)
- Large, knurled thumbscrews mean an easy grip and tight fit on tubing with diameter 3/4″ – 1 1/4″ (19.05mm – 31.75mm)
- The durable cast metal drill guide body (zinc for DrillSteady, bronze for DrillSteady PRO) will not mar your shining stainless steel
- The sturdy, tool steel drill bushing will give you years of service

I have purchased several Gemini stainless steel mounts, end caps, etc. to fasten a 365 watt solar panel to the davits on my sailboat. The design and versatility of the Gemini items made it possible to build a fantastic custom solar panel mount and save at least one large Boat Buck compared to the cost of a factory mount. The hinged strapless Bimini kit works well.
Installation was easy. Absolutely recommend the hinged mount over the slip-on. Be sure to center the tube joint when folded before tightening and setting the Bimini back up. Double check measurements. Save lengths of marked tape just in case you discover measured incorrectly. If you do make a minor mistake, or if the tube does not make canvas tight enough, no biggie. Simply loosen the mounts and lower horizontal tube until the canvas is made tight. That is what I did.
