Split and sliding side mounts
Expand your possibilities
Our stand-offs stand out
Our unique stand-offs, both split and slide mounts, either slip over the end of tubing or clamp on by opening the hinged jaw. Originally designed for mounting solar panels, these mounts dramatically increase the possibilities for updating and adding all kinds of attachments to dodgers, biminis, davits and rails.

Slide mounts with an extensive range of uses
Crafted from 316 marine grade stainless steel, our hinged and sliding offset mounts are available for use with 7/8”, 1” and 1¼” tubing. With them you can:
- Adding tensioning and support struts
- Adding spreader bars
- Attaching solar panels on your bimini top – this hardware is great for DIY solar additions
- Attaching antennae, awnings and foldaways for cutting boards and electronics pads
- Adding grab rails on dodgers, stanchions
- Fixing binnacle or aft rail lines
It’s almost easier to say what you can’t do with our mounts…

*REMEMBER: If you are using our 1 1/4″ mounts to connect to smaller tubing (using either 7/8″ or 1″ eye ends), you will need to drill out the hole in the top of the smaller eye ends to fit the heavy duty bolts in the top of the larger mounts. Please phone us with questions.
Hinged slide mount
No disassembly required
Unlike sliding side mounts, which must slip over the end of a tube, split jaw mounts can attach anywhere, including on frame bends, without disconnecting frame structures. This makes additions, installations, removal for storage and upgrades a breeze – even midseason.

Sliding side mounts
A little sleeker
Our sliding side mounts are less obtrusive than our split mounts (and a little easier on the pocketbook). Great for new builds or removable installations.

Second purchase
This is my second purchase. I have another project that these will allow me to fab vs hiring a welder. Saving some bucks, yet with a quality installation.

Happy to oblige. Enjoy.
Measure twice cut once
I ordered the wrong size parts for my Bimini. I contacted Gemini Marine about my foul up. Eve provided me choices to fix the problem and it was done, no more problem. I now have the right size struts and hinges installed on my boat and I love it. They were personable, professional and I would recommend them and their product to everybody.

The pleasure is all ours. Stuff happens! We’re happy when you are happy.
“Up and Over” Solar Install – Came out Great!
I added solar panels above a bimini and followed Gemini’s guidance form their website for the “up and over” style. I used Gemini fittings which are of excellent quality and arrived promptly. I’m extremely pleased with the result.
Response from Gemini Marine Products
Hey! That’s great to hear. Thank you for update on your project – all you DIY-ers take note!
Eye Ends
Experience was great.
Would note that for the eye end, I don’t trust the Allen screw to hold ss tube under even minor stress, so replaced the Allen screw with quick release pins drilled all the way through the eye end and ss tube.
Response from Gemini Marine Products
We’re so glad you found your experience with us helpful. Just to be clear: We’ve been building canvas for 30+ years, and we have every faith in the set screws (called grub screws for our friends Down Under) – I think that’s what you are referring to, but whatever floats your boat! We’d be a bit concerned that if your need to drill all the way through the eye end and the tubing, you might be expecting things to tolerate a bit too much stress (like traveling at speed with your canvas up), so please be careful.
